Heeeeeey Blog!
I really have to sleep, but I gotta tell ya that I got lost for the first time in China this night. It was soo exciting and cool and scary.

They are closing our gate at 00.00, and if your not inside the gate that time, you wont get in. Im living with Linnea and Louise and we were going by bike (bought a green one yesterday for 460Y plus a pling-thing, a basket and a lock to the bike - nice huh?)
Anyway; we were going by bike from the other´s apartment at eleven and its suppose to take ten minutes to get home. At 23.45, we were still biking around on the dark, crazy China streets...! Thanks God that He sent us an angelchineseboy on a moped. 23.59 we ran trough the gate. How cool is that?!?!?!? Im home and happy. Ciao!

Kunming

I'm finally in Kunming, where I'm going to live for the rest of the year. Kunming is a small city in the south of China. This small little city is five times bigger than our capital Stockholm and it has six million habitats. More about that later...
Sitting in our BIG apartment drinking hot water. You can get boiled water directly from the water tap. I think that’s cool. Beijing was great and my favorite experience was definitely walking on the Great Wall of China... or maybe after the walk, because they had an awesome slide down from the Great Wall that everyone could go. We also went to The Forbidden City and Tianán Men Square. Tianán Men Square is the biggest square in the world which you are not allowed to sit on... and I'm  seriously not sure if I'm allowed to tell you why... so I better skip that. For you who are extra curious; My favourite thing to eat in Beijing is the special Peking-duck. I really recommend it! Its like a mini wrap with duck, cucumber and a delicious sauce that taste a bit like soya.
There is so much here that is different from Sweden, even the light in the staircase. Sometimes, in  a public restroom or staircase for example, you need to move to make the light be on. Here, on this side of earth, you need to make sounds to make the light be on. I love that. I'm allowed to make noise in the staircases and on the toilets! The toilets btw… doesn’t really look like toilets, its just a hole in the floor. Usually they don’t even have toilet paper, everyone need to bring it by them selves. There is some websites that is blocked/forbidden here in China; this blog for example... that's the reason why its a bit hard to make new posts... especially with pictures (I'm not gonna tell you how I made this one). I have seen a pink chicken on the sidewalk  today... and a goat with the backseat of a car. That's China! Oh there is so much I want to tell you guys!!
We are going to buy bikes to all of us today, by SIM cards and brainstorm with our team about the Welcome Performing and I´ll get my first dancelesson from a danish teacher.
Thanks a LOT for all the comments you cant even imagine how much I appreciate it!

It´s Filip, me, Ellen, Louise and Linnea outside the forbidden city.

Bejing

Ni-hao!

Sitting in Beijing on a huge, red couch on the top floor of our hotel. We arrived yesterday at 11.30 (Chinese time).. that's 05.30 in Sweden. I nearly slept 25 minutes on the plane.. which made me a zombie the whole Wednesday. . . and I fell asleep 18.30 in the evening and I slept 30 minutes in a beautiful park today. My body is a bit confused about this time-change. Anyway I´ve experienced sooo many strange, disgusting, good, bad and amazing things already.

It gets dark outside in just some minutes in the evening (around 19.00), our shower doesn't work, I´m like a super famous girl wherever I go. . . people stare and want to take pictures all the time, you can spin the tables while you are eating in a restaurant, there are dancers in all ages in the parks, you have to bargain when you shop, food is very cheap, I haven't drink coffee for two days (that is one of the bad things), I´ve nearly learn how to eat with sticks. . . still dropping some food on the table, Its around 26 degrees outside, we have start to plan for the first concert and the Chinese people can do incredible things with their bodies.

It doesn't work to upload images in this blog yet. . . sorry. But I promise I´ll do it as fast as I can. That´s all for today. Its time for tasting Chinese yogurt. We are going to the Great Wall Of China tomorrow and That Is Awesome

Ping-Xi-Ling

Still in Sweden. This is my last Swedish post, I promise. Leaving tonight at 21.00 from an airport in Denmark. Still nervous for this super long sitting-still-in-ten-hours-doing-nothing-flight......!
...
I have met all my classmates and I already like them a lot! The real purpose of these two days, except to give us a lot of food (so don't worry mum), is to make us an unconquerable team. The best thing so far; Ive learn my first Chinese word; ping-xi-ling ! I'm not the best in spelling Chinese words with letters... but isn't that the cutest thing you ever heard?! It means ice cream. That's a good word. Going to eat again, the last meal in Sweden!

I'm so excited I'm so excited I'm so excited I'm so excited I'm so excited I'm so excited I'm so excited

This is The Unconquerable Team wishing you happiness and prosperity in a Chieese way.

Finished Packing

China, Yunnan, Kunming; My new hometown. I'm going to Chinatown!
(Yeah; Thats my new name of this place I'm going to... because "iminchina.blogspot" was already taken by some Alex Choi. Good for you Alex!)

Anyway I feel so ready to go! I just finished packing. It feels good.. more than good actually.. it feels awesome! I´m trying to imagine what this year is going to bring? I have a lot of expectations, a lot questions and a lot of prejudices of this huge country far, faar away.
Everything on the other side of the earth must be the opposite of here, right?

I´ve made a list of some things I got to do before I get home; eat bugs on a stick (they do not necessarily need to be alive..), have a fight in Kung Fu, sing a Chinese song for an audience, walk at the Great Wall of China, hug a panda and eat rise with chopsticks faster than a Chinese. These are just 6 of 10000 things I gotta do. I´ve heard that its rude to not burp after eating..! Well I guess I will find it out pretty soon..!

Going to meet my class tomorrow. Leaving Sweden on Tuesday. I´m going to be still, doing nothing, on an airplane for more than ten hours.. have no idea how that is gonna to work. But that's a future problem. I´m going to feel super-Swedish now.. by eating a sandwich, checking Facebook. See ya!
